I saw this picture on Pixabay and it brought back a lot of memories from childhood. I do not remember this much snow, but living in Western Pennsylvania for much of my life winter was usually snowy.
Those were days of actual school snow days, making snowmen, snowballs, snowforts and snowball fights. These were the chosen activities when the creek did not freeze over completely and if the creek did freeze enough we were usually ice skating. I also remember hot chocolate with marshmallows when we all came in after the day of snow fun. I know this sounds cliche, but I really did do all these things at least through the winters of my young childhood for when I became a teen the winters were usually not that bad in the late seventies and early eighties for if I remember right this was the time of the beginnings of ‘Global Warming’ if you believe in this subject.
Winter is great but the gloomy days can be depressing.
Have a wonderful day my friend
I wish it would snow where I live now I do really miss that white stuff. Right now where I live is as you say hot, hot, hot.
Wish I had some snow here…. hot hot hot!
