Red-backed shrike

The red-backed shrike is a small bird of prey.

The length of her body is about 17 – 20 cm, the width of the wings – 30 cm and weighs about 30 years.

There is a well-pronounced sexual dimorphism, the male is brightly colored, while the female is masked brown, black-stained plumage. In appearance, the female is similar to the female sparrow’s female.

Young birds are fired like females.

The beak is strong and with a slightly curved down half upper.

It is found in Europe (including Bulgaria), Asia and Africa.

Bird of prey. Usually breeds in Europe (including Bulgaria) and Asia, and winter in Africa.

It inhabits predominantly open, shrubs and overgrown forests.
