Floriography was a medium of communication in Victorian times, where various flowers and flower arrangements were used to send coded messages, serving subjects to express feelings that otherwise could never be spoken. Red roses still imply passion, romantic love. Pink roses minor affectation. White roses suggest virtue and chastity. Yellow roses are friendship or devotion.
