I had just bought a new Digital Camera and was eager to test out the zoom. This Image of the Moon was taken in November of 2016. This was shot Offhand without a Tripod on autofocus. It took several attempts to get a good shot.

Wow this is super cool Woody!
AMAZING shot for freehand Woody, several attempts or not!
Great job! It always seems to take several tries to get the shot we want.
Yes I started shooting in Bursts now. 8 shots per second and usually one is a good clear one.
Amazing capture!

You got an amazing shot though! That’s so good! I wish I could learn how to take a shot like that with my DSLR camera.

Wow, it’s lovely. I love taking photos of the moon. I am still trying to get one that I like but I only have a simple camera. I do not think of myself as a photographer.
I have a very simple camera too its a Canon Powershot SX410 IS it only cost $149 usd and it has an 40X zoom.
Great ideas, I’ve since gotten myself a monopod that I have become very found of.
That’s a good shot. I do hand held night photography and have some tricks for bracing the camera. One is a folded piece of bubble wrap that I place between the camera and whatever I’m jamming it against. Another is to use the auto timer because my finger on the shutter is a culprit. And of course I also take many and check them and take many more. (Ha, ha) I’m always leaning against stuff, sitting with the camera on my knee, bracing on the car (turn the engine off), etc…
It’s a beautiful shot…
Thank you
