GMO bees

source

A problem that has arisen from pesticide use is that the pesticides also kill bees along with the insects that ravage crops.  The use of pesticides by farmers is actually counterproductive because the amount of crops harvested improves for a short time.

However, the bees that the farmers killed with the pesticides are not able to pollinate plants in order to ensure for a bumper crop for next year.

Now, Monsanto is looking for a way to protect bees from the toxicity of their pesticides.  Research is being done so that bees can be genetically modified to withstand the adverse affects of their products used by farmers.  GMO bees are coming to a town near you.  What would happen if you were stung by a GMO bee?
