I often take photos and both of these photos are of the same Camellia tree in Rotorua, close to where I was staying in Ngongotaha near the Lake Rotorua.
The Thumbnail is a close up of this flower.
It always looks lovely when it is fresh and after a while it falls on the ground. At one place in the past I threw the dead flowers on a pile and a small kitten picked up the dead flowers and brought them straight back to me. It is not like a cat to chase a ball, but this one did.
Never seen such a cat since.
