While I don’t want to over do it with the butterfly photos, this is really unusual to encounter this number of butterflies here in Colorado. In some respects, my pictures don’t do it justice. There are actually more butterflies than the pictures show, but in my attempts to get closer the butterflies often scatter. Plus, when you realize that the mountains are supposed to get a foot of snow tonight, it seems even more surreal. While we won’t get snow here at lower altitudes, snow could make it’s appearance any day now. So, I guess this is the butterflies last hurrah before the cold weather arrives.
