Blancpain Continues To Save The World’s Ocean

In early summer, the Swiss watch brand Blancpain introduced the third limited series of Fifty Fathoms for scuba diving in support of the Blancpain program “Adherence to the Ocean”. The Blancpain Ocean Commitment Foundation, active under the auspices of the brand, has actively and comprehensively supported the projects of professional enthusiasts since 2011, which are aimed at researching the world’s unspoiled areoles of the world’s oceans and the preservation of the world ocean as a whole. And for the third year in a row the brand has been releasing a new limited version of Fifty Fathoms watches, which simultaneously work for future expeditions: the brand recounts 1000 euros from the cost of each copy for financing these projects.

The new chronograph Fifty Fathoms Ocean Commitment III combines all the technical characteristics of a mechanical diver’s watch. Its steel case has a diameter of 40.3 mm and is presented on three variations of the strap – leather, NATO fabric and waterproof canvas. Of course, the chronograph itself is waterproof to 300 m and its unidirectional rotating bezel is equipped with hour markers made of Liquidmetal liquid metal glowing in the dark.
