I have never been to Singapore, yet I have read it is a very rich and developed country. Accordingly, I saw a very funny video some weeks ago that I want to show here on Virily as it is incredible in my opinion.
This robot is called Spot and patrols Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park in Singapore to fight coronavirus. This dog-robot tells people to avoid big gatherings and to maintain a minimum distance to prevent people from getting coronavirus.
You can see this robot in action now. What do you think???
That’s an interesting means of reminding people to adhere to prevention measures. Looks like it doesn’t tolerate seeing people assembled in one place.
Yes, you are right. I really like this robot.
I think it would scare the daylights out of some small kids and elderly people. What happened to signs? Oh yeah, the people that need the information don’t read signs!
Yes, the robot will scare people. I do not know if it has been effective but I really like the robot and the idea
It’s a neat idea just don’t think that is the right place for it. I could see it being a big hit in a mall directing shoppers to sales in all the stores or new products, etd.
Yes, you are right. But this robot has been designed for fighting coronavirus.
Saw this on TV before would prefer real dog.
Yes, a real dog is better. A lot of fun. Dogs are always great.
I think it is a good idea, the world needs assistance in order to help people feel safer.
Yes, I think the same. I find the robot to be extremely funny.
Singapore is about to become the new economic hub in Asia because of what is happening in Hong Kong. People need to be held accountable for social distancing, but a robot could be damaged by the same people that are not social distancing. If they are breaking the law of social distancing, then they are prone to breaking other laws.
Yes, you are right, the economic sector of Singapore is already very powerful in Asia. And yes, the robot can be broken perhaps this is why it has a camera that records everything. PA person can kick the robot but I think this robot has only worked when the pandemic was hitting hard.
interesting, you had mentioned this previously. i suspect there is a good and a bad side to this. I notice a set of cameras, what does it do with the video?
Yes, I told you I was going to write about it. I do not know all they do with the images they record.
There is a huge anti-drone movement in the US right now. Part of the issue is the Huiwai chips in some drones.
this robot would have the same issue. What happens to the captured images.
Yes, it could be a way to control the people of Singapur. I found this robot funny.
i worry about the privacy aspects of robots like this.
Yes, you may be right. The robot is helping those in power. But I would love to see the robot in action, it must be fun, perhaps the robot makes coronavirus to disappear. The video is not new, this was happening some weeks ago when the pandemic was hitting hard.
interesting – i would not expect that argument from you, because I know you are not a huge technology fan.
i know that while things like this are interesting, the reality of the situation in the world is quite simple what happens to the information.
This robot made me smile. I think it is funny that the robot tells people in the park to be careful. This robot is not like these technological products brands oblige us to use. I like freedom and I find this robot to be funny.
just out of curiosity who do you think built this cute robot?
The robot was designed in Boston.
ok thanks, it was assembled in Boston, sadly there are pieces that were not built in Boston…
This is a great idea. I did business with Singapore. I have to say I was surprised too.
You were surprised by Singapore working with them or you are surprised because of this dog robot???? Thanks a lot for your comment.
I was surprised over their wealth.
I was surprised reading about Singapore too. I did not know it was such a rich place. It seems their financial center is really relevant like Hong Kong and London.
Great idea, dear friend … we’ve declared an end to the pandemic …. we can travel anywhere
Congratulations. That´s great. The pandemic is controlled in Spain now apparently but it can come back at any minute.
That’s pretty cool!
Yes, it is, I love the robot. I would love to see it in person. Thanks a lot for your comment.
I saw this on the news the other day. I think it’s a good idea.
Yes, I think the same. I find the robot very funny. Thanks for your comment.
