My absence on Virily has been because I’am still adjusting to my work schedule which I’am bogged down with during the weekdays, Monday-Friday. Other than that, everything is going good and I’am getting my training workouts in for Detroit Marathon, mostly on the weekends which I anticipate. I would like to do things differently the way I share my writings and pictures with you all which I’am sure you enjoy by your responses. I would like to call this ‘Out and about’, where I get on my soapbox and share with you things that I have done or saw lately. How does that sound?
While headed to a running expo at Roosevelt Collections in Chicago, I just had to capture this to share with you all. Gorgeous, huh?
Just recently I incorporated speed work into my workouts because not only do I have Detroit Marathon coming up, but also a handful of 5k (3.1 mile) runs which are more fast paced. I tend to love 5k runs because I feel as though I can go all out due to it being a shorter distance in comparison to other races I run. I always try to stay in good 5k shape and this workout is one of my favorite speed workouts.
