Darkness
There was a long black out this evening. The whole city was almost totally dark. With emergency lights not lit fully charged, we used our cell phones as our source of light and a candle.
I was supposed to take some photos of the plaza, but the only thing you will see are the lights from the passing vehicles.
My nephew was playing with the melted candle wax to pass the time. I decided to take a snap of the scene. The light from the candle created some effects on the photo. The darkness lasted about four hours or so. Draining our cellphone batteries one by one.
So here it is my 365 Photos Challenge # 6.
In case you missed it here is my previous entry: https://virily.com/lifestyle/safety-first-365-photos-challenge-5/
Dark vs Light – never ending fight.
Cool capture, John. it is very impressive
We tend to take electricity for granted, this is an excellent photo.
Thanks, Della. True, most often we waste electricity in more ways than one, and we don’t even realize we are wasting it.
Nephews can always find something to amuse them
Well, kids… They would do anything to pass time. I used to do this also when I was a kid.
Didn’t we all? To the chagrin of our long suffering relatives
This is a challenging photo. Great work!
Thanks Carol. Yeah, doing a low light photography is challenging. Specially that I’m just using my phone. 😀
Our phones are passing up our little cameras.
Yeah. Seems like it. If only I could buy one of those clip on telephoto lenses for phones. Heheh.
So far I have a macro, wide angle and fish-eye lenses. Hehe
Oh wow Great Post.!!
Thanks, Hamza. Are you in the challenge yet?
