I had the chance to cast for Fargo this past weekend. Despite it being cold, I had a ton of fun with other cast members. For this casting I am sided with the Cannon gang which is Loy Cannon, aka Chris Rock’s gang. Pretty sweet opportunity that I jump on every chance I get when the opportunity presents itself and I’am not at my daily job. One of the coolest things about Casting for Fargo is being alongside known actor Chris Rock, plus seeing a couple other known actors on set.

The car that you see, as well as the car I’am sitting in is a 1941 Ford Woody. The car is a beauty on the outside, as well as on the inside. Me and the guys kept talking about how warm it was inside despite it being an older car and despite how long it was sitting outside prior to us getting in it without the heater running.

I passed, but have select days that I’am available. I’m only available 3 days out of the week, so I have lost out on other opportunities.
I’m available only certain days. I do have a full time job, but when I am off from my full time job is when I am free for the openings.
To break it down for you I am only available Monday, Saturday, and Sunday. Any other day it cuts into my work schedule. I only apply for the days I am open which are Monday, Saturday or Sunday
They just find a replacement, filling in my spot. I am sent a availability email to confirm if I can be there or not ahead of time. If I had to be there then I’d never would’ve applied for the casting, but it’s just one of those things I cannot commit to every day due to my regular job.
I’ve been in a few scenes, but not sure if they will actually use them. I’ve missed many days, but I am just happy to have been part of it.
glad to hear you got to do something fun
You know, the funny thing is that they emailed me for a multi day opportunity in January, but it doesn’t work well with my work schedule. Such a bummer.
that sucks. can’t get a few days off?
I can, but it would screw over my co-workers which I have no interest in doing because the work is already tough as it is. I’d feel guilty taking it off just to do a casting. There will be other days that I can cast, so I’am fine with it.
you really are both an officer and a gentleman
That would be awesome if you are cast in this movie. Chris Rock could crack some jokes about Virily.

That’s rough. However, you will receive more opportunities next year.
Oh yeah definitely. I am actually considering leaving my current job because of semester, so that will open up some free days
Great opportunity and what a lovely looking car!! Have Fun!!
That car was amazing, Dawn
what a wonderful opportunity, congrats! Love the hat!!!

such happens sometimes windows open, but not enough to climb through!
Once my semester starts up I may be able to pick up some casting days because I am planning on putting in my notice to leave my current job or switch shifts.
well keep us informed! Watching a hollywood movie unfold is a process I will never forget!
It is the greatest feeling when those checks come in the mail, most of which I just put in my savings account to spend on a rainy day. It is pretty addicting because it’s easy money and there’s no commitment to it like a regular job until you get booked. I consider it actually a break from my normal job : )
i only got paid the daily rate. I was in several scenes (about 5 days total) of the movie Breaking Away!
