Many health conscious people today are looking for ideas on how to eat less bread. I love breads, but it leaves me hungry, so I found ways to help this issue of mine.
Today for lunch I fixed me an apple sandwich, with hormone free ham slices, snap peas, sliced red peppers, and a light sauce.
I put a thin slice of apple for the bottom layer then, I added a couple pieces of ham, then, I added the snap peas, and slice of red pepper. I also added a small piece of cheese.
Now, add the sauce: Tsp. of mayo, 1/2 tsp. brown sugar, and a little mustard-but not much. Then put it on top of the vegetables. last, add another slice of apple for the top of your sandwich. I was amazed how much I liked it.

Now, I am hungry. I am currently looking for new ways how to make healthier dishes
I like the idea. It does look a little cumbersome to eat though.
Just slice the apple thinner and it works like a charm. Thank you
I am going to give it a try tomorrow and let you know!
It’s awesome that you are not afraid to experiment with different combinations!
I get a lot of ideas from cooking shows as well as my own imagination. Thank you!
This seems a very unusual sandwich. I can’t imagine how ham and cheese taste with an apple
Try it artbytes it tastes great.
Perhaps it is a good – only combination of apples and hams I do not go in any way together
Great idea, I like it. I would never put an apple in a sandwich. I always eat separately, but I will try.
Try it dear friend you will like it I do believe.
Oh yes I see what you mean now! I think I have heard of that before actually. Apple is also good with cheese,
Apples in sandwiches? An unusual idea, but I imagine it works pretty well. I am going to try that soon.
Thank you Maggie, do try it is is great. The apples are for the outside of the sandwich instead of bread, but many people put apples in chicken salad as well
