I was recommended Whataburger by a fellow Yelper and just had to have it during my weekend get away to Dallas Texas, being that it is particularly known to Texas. I arrived to Dallas early, but called it a day once I settled because I was tired from my recent work week. I woke up very early at 3 a.m. and luckily Whataburger was open 24 hours which led to an early morning indulgence of this restaurant where I ordered a Whataburger with fries and a drink.
I say the only thing special to me was the restaurants history and its future which its future I found out while doing a brief search of its history. It blew my mind to find out that this restaurant that opened its very first restaurant in Corpus Christi, Texas back in 1950; founded by Harmon Dobson and Paul Burton was just sold to Chicago investors, and Chicago is where I reside. It led me to believe that we may just see Whataburger restaurants in Chicago in the near future.

hmmm I thought you are a health buff.
Did I shock you with this post, he he.
yes, you did, until now I am still in shock, someone has to slap me hard to wake up a bit.
Whataburger, I am so jealous. So did you like the fries?
Of course I love the fries. The fries never let me down anywhere I go. You’ll have to add this one to your list to try doc, if you ever visit Texas again. If you have not tried it already.
first tried it about 16 years ago! always stop! also do In and Out, 5 guys and when in Indiana Steak and Shake!
Cool. You know, steak n shake was my first job ever, so I always feel close to it. Hard to believe that I have been working since junior high school.
As for Whataburger, I am dying to fly back out to Texas to try one of their breakfast sandwiches on the menu.
you are truly a foodie! I actually like 5 guys better overall.
I believe I only ate at just one Five Guys location in my entire life. That just happened to be here in Chicago near Loyola University.
they have the best cajun fries ever!!!!
I will take note of that; it will give me a sole reason to visit when I see one : )
they are a lot more national then they used to be.
back in the day, i would hit Whataburger in Dallas. In and Out in LA. Rainbow Burgers (not gone) in seattle
and 5guys in the Dulles airport DC!
I will have to bookmark ‘in and out burger’ to visit once I fly back out to california.
they are epic, so many great burgers so little time
Wouldn’t mind trying to visit Five Guys today if I can find one near my neighborhood.
they used to just be east coast, they are national now
Found a solid Five Guys location in Lincolnwood. I’ll most likely attempt to visit it on Wednesday.
get the cajun fries – amazing!
i shouldn’t like fries as much as I do!
I believe I bookmarked on in my Yelp collections folder for Los Angeles. Looking to book another flight this month, preferably the 3rd week of this month.
our next trip is Flagstaff, my wife wants to see the Grand Canyon!
Sweet! Yes! Take that woman to see the Canyon
that is exactly what she said, although her’s was a little more demanding!
I about went today while headed to work, but moved slow getting ready. Plenty of time to go tomorrow though in-between shifts. I have my Yelp review drafted for what I want to write about.
i indulged in their cajun fries yesterday at L’Enfant Station!
I made it out. I love the cheeseburger, but the fries I had to really dip them in ketchup to tolerate the seasoning on the fries. They gave me a crap load of fries for it being sized ‘little’.
i love their cajun but it is a taste preference.
I anticipate seeing the Canyon pictures
they will be shared I promise!
After I submit my review on Yelp, then I will share on Virily. I will be sharing the review either tomorrow or Saturday. Its pretty much done
i love San Fran. spent time there for several different projects over the years.
it is foodie heaven!
I got a great deal on a roundtrip flight to San Fran. Going to book it depending on how my taxes look this weekend.
my taxes are done! but my accountant likes to submit early!

Shout out
whoop whoop!!! checking it out now
My attempt to do them earlier failed because I do not have every job I have worked. I went in and opened a envelope, only to find that it was not what I thought it was. Hopefully I could get them done within two weeks.
that is one I didn’t have to worry about. But that is tough I remember those days.
That is one thing that I did not look into when I visited San Francisco years ago to run a marathon. But then again I was not a foodie back then. Hell, I barely ate anything, lol.
San Fran, you have to fisherman’s wharf! there are so many great restaurants right there on the water.
oh yeah and wander out to Alcatraz!
I do so much: casting for television shows on top of working two jobs. Last year, I literally had 3 jobs.
i only have two, but they are both more than full time jobs.
Alcatraz was on my list, but due to weather being bad I had to put it off. Outside of the race, I did enjoy Sausalito and riding in a cab on the Golden Gate.
i took the walking trail that lets you cross the bridge (golden gate) as I had enough time.
Alcatraz is worth it if you can!
I am more or less like you. I wanted to taste pure maple syrup. It is available online but nothing like getting it from where it is made. I got it when I was with my nephew in Colorado.
Yet. That is me. I would love to try Southern food at some point or either gumbo, so on my to-do list is to visit the south where Southern food is big, as well as visiting New Orleans where gumbo us big.
