10 wardrobe essentials for French style | “Parisian chic” | Justine Leconte

I have always like French fashions because I think it is based on creating your wardrobe on few classic pieces, and mixing and matching to make everything work together into different outfits. As I check out the ten items on the list, I realize I do have all these items in my wardrobe, and I have been dressing like this since my twenties. This list is also perfect for traveling light during a weekend getaway.

  • White Shirt has always been classic, often worn with denim pants, skirt, and even shorts. You can sometimes wear it as a cover-up over a bathing suit, or a layered over a tank top and jeans.
  • Blazer is like an elegant jacket and can be worn over a skirt and dress, but also with jeans.
  • Ballet flats and flat loafers are practical shoes for women who plan to walk a lot.
  • The Little Black Dress is simple and classic as well as safe when you don’t know what to wear or you don’t want to buy a new dress.
  • Black t-shirt or white t-shirt is often worn as a simple blouse. You can dress it up with accessories, like a scarf, necklace, belt, and/or pin, along with a cute skirt and ballet flats. Or, you can wear a t-shirt with shorts and jeans. I have always liked the white t-shirt and jeans outfit, worn with Converse sneakers.
  • A classic sweater, such as V-neck sweater, is like a white t-shirt. It can be worn with a cute skirt or denim pants, casually or dressed up, depending on the added accessories.
  • Everyone wears dark jeans, although it is more people with young people, and it is mostly worn for casual wear, although you can dress up jeans with a nice blouse, high heel shoes, jewelry, and scarf.
  • A Huge scarf can be worn many ways to change a particular outfit and create a new look.
  • A Huge purse is perfect for a busy woman who needs many items throughout the day.
  • Black high heels are practical because they go with any outfit, especially the outfits which you don’t have shoes with a matching color.
