Coffee Break Movies

Friday, July 28, 2017

Create your own Coffee Break inside your home, such as maybe watch a coffee related movie. So, for my break, I decided to browse on youtube for coffee scenes in a movie. Make a cup of coffee, relax on a  comfy seat, and enjoy the following, a full movie, and some movie clips for a two-hour coffee break. As you watch the full movie as well as the movie clips from other movies, notice the cultural ways of different people enjoying their cup of coffee, as well as the current fashions, styles, and venues. This post is like people-watching via youtube videos of full movies and movie clips.

You can watch the Full Movie for Coffee and Cigarettes video on this link. Enjoy this movie now before youtube decides to take it out for some reason because some of these full movies don’t long on youtube.

Amelie is a fun film that I first enjoyed watching in the theatre, and I later watched it when it came on the independent channel. This scene is an emotional scene about coffee and childhood memories.

The Airplane! movie is filled with coffee scenes, in which airplane scenes often look like cafes and diners flying in the sky. This movie clip depicts two kids enjoying a cup of coffee and getting to know each other better.

I haven’t seen the movie, Fifty Shades of Grey, but this scene looks interesting. A neighbor actually gave me the novel, but I haven’t read it yet. This movie scene makes a good teaser for this film, where a couple meets at a coffee shop.

I have never seen this film, Cafe (2011), before, but I found two interesting coffee shop scenes from this film. In both scenes, a young girl discusses an issue with a man at a coffee shop. In the first scene, she looks like she is talking about the internet, while in the second scene she is discussing someone.

La Cafe (2011) is an animated short film by Oldelaf. It is in French but it has English subtitles. I think it is cute.

This You’ve Got Email scene is a little intense, almost like foreplay, as Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks discuss romance and a novel with coffee at a coffee shop.

I have actually watched French Roast (2010) before on youtube. It is another cute animated short film in French, but with English subtitles.

I will end my Coffee Break with another full movie. Notice in the opening scene for Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961) full movie that Audrey Hepburn is enjoying a cup of coffee and a pastry as she takes a stroll. I have done that many times at malls, but I enjoyed a cup of Cappuccino while window-shopping and people-watching.

    • I watch mostly independent and foreign films, as well as some Japanese Manga and Anime. The regular mainstream shit get on my nerves. The only reason i watched Breakfast at Tiffany’s movie because I read the book. I felt the movie was off from the book.
