Asylum Book Review

Danny has gotten the opportunity of his dreams. He gets to go visit a college for his summer vacation and take mock classes like he’s an actual college student. He’s beyond excited. Then, he learns that they will be in an unplanned dorm due to the main one being renovated. The dorm they are to be staying in used to be an Asylum. It doesn’t take long for spooky things to start happening there. Can Danny make it through the program unscathed or is the past trying to get him?

I really enjoyed this book! I remember when I bought the trilogy. I bought them all in one go. I hadn’t heard anything about them. I just saw the covers and fell in love. My instincts were right on this one. Then again, my instincts usually are. I’m almost always right about books that I feel strongly about that I’m going to love.

That being said, there were some things I didn’t care for. I won’t get into too many details because I don’t want to spoil things for potential readers of this book. But there were things placed in the story that just didn’t make a lot of sense. It felt like they came way out of left field. That wasn’t exactly a deal-breaker for me. The story was too good to resist. I think I wound up reading this entire trilogy in three or four days! Even read the three novellas!

I can’t stress how much I recommend this book! It’s dark and exciting. It’s the kind of book that will leave you on edge through the whole thing and make you wonder what you just read! I loved it so much! I will probably re-read these books many times over!
