Good morning. Just thought I would share with you my progressing cross-stitch that I am doing from the pattern above. All the photos in this post were taken with my very backward cell phone version…
This first photo was already inserted in one of my previous post and it is the very start of this cross-stitch pattern. In this photo you can see the outline of the back and shoulder of the young woman along with the beginning ofher blouse…
This second photo shows again the back and shoulder of the young woma with part of her jet black-brown hair along with her tie in her hair and part of her blouse and the beginning of her skirt…
This third photo presents an almost finished blouse and more of her skirt being done along with the beginning of the bouquet of flowers that the young woman is holding…
Finally, the fourth photo shows the face, the hair scarf and the right eye of the young woman. I have to cross-stitch the left eye and then needlepoint in some outline lines to finish the face…
Also in this post, I want to present to you my sister’s latest crochet creation creation: the infamous Donkey Kong. I personally think he is quite handsome.
Well that is it for now. See you soon…
I love the cross stitch perhaps I should change some artwork into cross stitch? Beautifully done and love the Donkey Tong..
Thank you so much Pamela. But you have to realize cross stitch is a very long process. I have been working on this for the past 4 months and I am not half done yet… Still a very big thanks for your comment/compliment and up vote… I will let my sister know you liked Donkey Kong…
how do you know where to place the stitches? can’t see a guide on the cloth
No the guide is on paper graph with different signs to indicate the colours. With a no 16 count Aida canvas I do not think a guide on the cloth would even help that much… Thank you for dropping, writing such a great question and up voting…
you’re welcome. still don’t know how you do it
Wow, you’re doing very well. A beautiful product is created.
Thank you so much Vidocka for your complimentary comment. Cross stitch depending on the size of the pattern and the count number of the Aida cloth can be anywhere from quick to a very long labour process. In this particular case it is a long process…
Amazing creation , congrats !
Thank you so much for your comment/compliment. Also a big thanks for just visiting and upvote.
What a beautiful process. You are so creative and talent. Amazing!
Thank you so much Carol. I really enjoy cross stitching but it does take a long time to do all these tiny stitches on a 16 count Aida cloth… But eventually I will get it done…
Simply beautiful , self explanatory ….
Thank you so much for your compliment especially since it comes from a man, right? I really enjoy my crafts whether knitting, crochet, tatting, cross stitch, the occasional needlepoint and eventually needle lace. Again a big thank you…
Well I have no patience for a lot of things but I can spend hours just working on my different craft project. Thank you for viewing, commenting and up voting.
That requires tremendous patience and effort I have no patience for such things.
Sorry grace. See my reply under History Gal’s comment on my own post. I just have to get skinnier fingers to write on these small keyboards….
