When President Trump declared that the United States of America was under a national emergency on Friday, he then stated that all Americans that were overseas should return home to get away from Europe, the current epicenter of the coronavirus.
Well, people took the President’s advice and flew home. However, the FAA was not prepared for so many people to come home on Saturday. The above picture is from O’Hare Airport in Chicago.
Waiting for bags at terminal has been taking around six hours. After that, the travelers returning home have to wait another two to three hours in customs due to the long lines. No foresight was taken to have extra employees working at the major airports throughout the country.
Every US President goes through some sort of crisis. However, that fact was not taken into account when people voted in 2016. As a result, we must face the consequences during this Covid-19 dilemma.

the other thing is the mandatory scanning that is causing issues both coming and going. Lines are huge and the poor TSA folks are well past over worked.

TSA has a really hard job. It is not a job that most people spend their lives training for. I remember when I traveled, there were so many people that were irate about everything. A job where people are yelling at you and angry, isn’t fun.
