Yesterday was the 4th of July, 2017. My hometown ended it’s 4th of July celebration with a parade. To get a good spot, usually you have to get there an hour or more before the parade actually starts.
We did go up there an hour early and thought we had a great spot, unfortunately I wish we would have sat elsewhere because some kids sat besides us and they were not really into letting my son catch more candy. Most of the floats/vehicles throw handfuls of candy to the crowd as they go through the parade.
It has been a tradition ever since I was a kid. Now, my son can go through the same 4th of July tradition. He did end up getting quite a lot of candy after all. He even got a hat, a Frisbee and a little football.
Here are 10 photographs that I took during the parade. There are more, but these are the 10 that turned out the best so I chose them to highlight the event.

#1 Grease Monkey
I posted this photo because my son was obsessed with this float (mainly the big monkey). It's for the company Grease Monkey which is a car service place.
#2 Float of Flags
l thought I would photograph this float because it showcases many flags. That's a great thing for a 4th of July parade.
#3 Tractor
My son loves tractors, so I took this for him. What do you all think of it?
#4 Radio Station Van
The main radio stations always have their van in the parade. This one was the coolest looking. I do like the radio station too of course.
#5 Float of Balloons
This one I edited a bit, but as you can see there are many balloons. I don't remember what business this one was for.
#6 Sports Car #1
I always enjoy when the classic cars drive through the parade. I decided to enter this one in the list. It's not my favorite car, but it's pretty nice.

There were also some horses in the parade. That's another great part of the parade cause the horses are so pretty.
