I am not sure why I started listening to Buffalo Springfield when I was little, but I did. They were not a popular band overall. They had one of two songs on the radio. The rest I had to hear in my cassette player (actually it was my mom’s cassette player, I didn’t have one for three more years). But I listened to the tape all the time. When the band broke up, I followed a couple of the band members to their new groups.
Then I only followed one of them.
Neil Young was from around the late 60s, my favorite singer.
He was my favorite songwriter.
This is one that I listen to all the time.
You see, you can’t be 20 on Sugar Mountain.

thanks Pam, i am a huge fan of NY!
Thanks for sharing. I like many Neil Young songs but had not heard this one.
he did so many great songs, in so many genres. Hard to remember anyone sometimes unless you are a lost in Youngworld fan!!!
This guy is a legend. He was pretty much blackballed by the government because of “The Monsanto Years” album he made a few years ago.
the denied his request for US Citizenship about 12 months ago
Awe, I LOVE THIS SONG. I had this in a cassette tape. 😉 Great share Doc.
i have owned so many of his albums over the years. I have all of his released albums on MP3 on my iPhone!
I can’t remember if I have heard the artist. I will check it out.
he is my personal all time favorite!
let me know what you find out!!!!
The guitar and voice was soothing I was drifting into sleep. Such a beautiful song.
he has over the years covered many genres of music.
He has released a Jazz album. He has released a country album and a number of rock and roll albums!
I like country music more than jazz and rock n roll. I will check on YouTube the country songs he has sung. Thanks.
he released a couple of country albums.
Neil Young is still one of my favourite artists to this day.
I concur! He was, is and has been my favorite now for most of my life. Heart of Gold was the only Neil Young song played on armed forces radio when I lived in Thailand, but I listened every time it was on!
