I had the pleasure to go with my Sister and Brother in Law when they took their son for his first movie experience a few years ago. We went to Irene Mall in Pretoria, and right in the middle of it was these sculptures and for the life of me I couldn’t understand why anybody would put that in the middle of a shopping centre.
Over Easter Weekend I found myself back at Irene Mall, I went for a drink with a friend, and started pondering about the reason for this sculptures again. According to my friend, Irene used to be one big cattle farm which makes sense in a way. But why put a cow that looks like it has been buried halfway? To me that just makes no sense.

In case you missed my previous entry, you can see it here: What’s in the Bag?
the picture is beautiful, the sculpture is vague
Thank you Branka. It is the cow’s legs. Looks like it was buried halfway
A bright night in a beautiful photo, Della
Thank you so much for your appreciation Albert. 🙂
You’re most welcome, Della.
I’m afraid I couldn’t see much detail in the sculpture either, but I know I’m seeing a lot more sculptures in my city in places I wouldn’t expect.
I’ll try to post a zoomed in photo. Does anybody know if we can post photos in the comments?
I’ve wondered about that myself.
I can’t make out the sculpture but a great night shot Della.
I see it is a bit small on here. Thank you Carol
What a great capture!
Thank you Doc. Not bad for a phone 😉
Pretty good for any camera to be honest!
