As we wandered from the parking lot to the boat yesterday, I stopped by the flower garden. The early spring flowers are now almost all gone. Just a few remains of what once was a vibrant and colorful garden. I suspect there is a life lesson in that. Vibrant colors and great beauty only last time. The wonder and joy of the flower are not that it creates the perfect this year, but that it can create more next year. The great debate of what to plant annual or perennial. Over the years I can say I don’t understand the appeal of flowers for this year only. I do see the beauty, but flowers that last a year to me, don’t seem like something that adds anything. I know, however, that is just me.
Colors are important in the world.

Thanks! It is on the way from our car to the dock where the boat is. They do a nice flower garden every year!
It is, and they are quite lovely. I love flowers planted by other people!
This is so beautiful! It’s always important to take a moment to enjoy the beauty around us.
It is, it is easy to forget that in the bustle of everyday life.
Perennials are my favorite. Some annuals have brighter color but only for a little while.
To burn so bright, for such a short time.
