The Story of Big Figures

The giants are 8 figures created in 1860 by Tadeo Amorena, and they represent four pairs of kings of four different races, the European, the Asian, the African and the American.

They measure between 3.85 and 3.90 meters, reaching 4.20 meters with the carrier. The weight ranges between 55.8 and 62.5 kilos, 7 although the biggest drawback when it comes to carrying them is not the weight, but how it is distributed and the resistance they make to factors such as wind. Their names are: European king Joshemiguelerico, European queen Joshepamunda, Asian king Sidi abd El Mohame, Asian queen Esther Arata, African king Selim-pia Elcalzao, African queen Larancha-la, American king Toko-toko and American queen Braulia.

I was there and saw them. The run was super cool. I do not know the names of the figures unlike my little granddaughter (6 years)??? who knows them. I also took pictures that I share with you now.

  1. These kind of remind me of the big balloons in America’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. These huge characters are fantastic. Some of the characters of color could be Mediterrian in culture.
