The Mistake – 1

Amy came to work for the Company right out of college. There were so many employees, it took her about a month to realise that she kept running into one. His name was Jeremy. They worked at the same place, virtually the same position but in separate sections.

At the time she was casually dating Frank, so she never noticed Jeremy as more thana co-worker. He could have been sixty or seventeen, a woman, a man, gay, straight, it was inconsequential. It was easy greetings, a few clever words, and then, different directions.

Maybe it was a year later that they wound up actually talking.  They had a lot in common, and he invited her for coffee after work.

It was no big deal, they had a lot to discuss.

The company was planning on changes and some that were mooted needed to be totally scrapped, while a few others might be wise.

The staff was asked their opinion, and Amy and Jeremy had a lot of opinions.

For two intelligent and interested co workers to sit in a coffee shop, after work,  to discuss and compose a response to the mooted changes was without question.
