The first trial against Monsanto for 2020 begins today.  The trial will be held in the Contra Costa Superior Court in Martinez, CA.  In this case, the plaintiff contracted cancer from using the weedkiller known as RoundUp.

Bayer, the owner of Monsanto is seeking to reach a settlement with over 40,000 litigants.  The estimated amount being bandied about is around $10 billion (USD).  That would leave a paltry amount of $50,000 per person.

If you are familiar with the costs of cancer treatment, then the amount generally reaches six figures.  That’s why this trial is beginning today.  Monsanto will not be able to escape their 100-year reign of contaminating the world.
