I wanted to post an update on my life and health since it’s been a few months.
As you all know I am a type 2 diabetic. For my health, I need to follow a low carb diet.
Unfortunately the past few months have been crazy and with the holidays coming up, I haven’t stuck to the low carb diet. My sugars have been running high for the most part–but that’s a given when you eat high carbs with diabetes.
What’s also interesting is I have gained almost 20 pounds in less than 2 months. I am sure it’s mostly just water weight which I would lose once I go back to a low carb lifestyle.
After Christmas is over, I will be going back to a low carb diet — most likely the ketogenic diet.
Speaking of getting back on low carb after Christmas, I think I will be posting an update daily on my journey. I figure it would keep me accountable….and be a challenge for myself. Do you all think that is a good plan?
I got to start again and stick to the low carb way of eating.
