Want to take a drive with me along the Sunrise Highway?

 We started our drive today at Sea Level on the coast and are going to drive along a crest of mountains. 

The first stop is as soon as we get into the Cleveland National Forest. We took a take a quick hike here.

Notice the Chaparral Bushes, and hillside. This is at 3000 feet above sea level. 

We had four dogs with us!  

We stopped at many places along the way. 

The next little stop is the view of the Santa Rosa Mountains in the back round. 

There is a coyote in this picture. 

Can you see him now? 

We sat and just watched him, his ears kept switching back and forth, and a steady trot, into the countryside. 

Luckily this highway is not heavily traveled. I drove really slow. 

We are getting higher...

This is looking down toward the Anza Borrego Desert in the Cleveland National Forest. Yes it is a national forest and now all the facilities are closed.
