The coming of autumn
changing of the leaves from
green to
yellows and golds to
reds and oranges to
the browns of decay.
A time of raking those leaves of various colors
into piles and who knows what will happen next;
a chilly breeze or something jumping into those
leaves of various colors-depending.
You look around at what do you see, but a tiny leaf
still hanging on the branch strong as ever.
Saying to yourself “When are you going to fall?”
Still looking around and waiting for the leaf to fall you
see the first snow flurry that seem to be gathering
more for Winter is on the way.
Autumn is a beautiful time of the year. You can almost feel the changes coming.
FAB
awesome
Lovely expressed!
I like autumn because no more sweltering hot days and football season. The college version though.
Wow this is beautiful!
Beautiful words!
Superb.
Wonderful words
My favorite time of year. I really do miss raking leaves and watching them fall.
Bravo…beautiful expression.
This poem just hit me like a falling leaf. Except this leaf was just dark brown.
Perfect post
Glad you liked it. I may have a few others coming up.
Beautiful words, my friend.
(But I don’t wait for anything.)
Autumn is worth waiting for, but I wish it was a longer season. I know all the seasons are three months long.
I agree, unfortunately, I only have two seasons in my country.
Nice!
Autumn up north I miss so much. I enjoyed all the fall chores.
