This wooden bust of a native man from Baguio City, Philippines has been with my family for decades. It was a souvenir from that place given by my late aunt.
I am always amazed by the details done in the sculpture.
I spotted this one on a corner of the house yesterday slightly covered with dust. I decided to clean it up and thought, it would be great to share his photo on my 365 Photos Challenge. So I took it out on the porch for a photo shoot.
In case you missed it, see my previous entry: Colored Fountain.
I hope you like this one.

That is very good and unique stuff, my friend.
I have great admiration for sculptors. The attention to detail is amazing.
I thought it was bronze at first. Thank you for bringing it in for a photo shoot. Interesting subject. I love native stuff.
It’s an interesting sculpture. It’s worth keeping it in the house!
Yes it is, Ileana. It actually represents the indigenous people of Baguio City. They make a lot of these. Some are Gigantic. I think I will post some of my old photos with these sculptures here..
Wow this is a treasure in your living room. I love it! And is perfect for the challenge. We all have to get creative.
Thanks, Carol. I realized there are some things in and around the house that we often ignore, but might be interesting to other people.
Absolutely, we cannot always get outside every day and find something! Well, most days but not every day. 🙂
