With smartphones at hand, I’m taking more photos than ever before. So if you’re in a stock photography rut as I often am, the solution is simple: great photos, take great photos yourself.
Here is one of the top tips I am using for stunning photos.
Consider your composition
Think Before you click, think first. Don’t rush into the trap of taking multiple pictures that end up looking exactly the same. You need to fully absorb the entire scene and think outside of the box when it comes to your viewpoint.

Thank you Tasartcraft. I could not reply to your comment 8 months back as somehow the article had disappeared. I’m glad it’s back.
This is an awesome picture. Did you capture this?
Hello Giri, no my friend, I did not capture it, my daughter needs to take credit for it. It is very well composed, I agree. Thank you for visiting and also for commenting.
ohh, that’s great. She is is a very good photographer.
This is one lovely sunset picture.
Thank you Dawn, my daughter actually took the shot.
I’m also taking more photos since I got my smartphone, but I often take my real camera along for shots where I need to zoom. How did you make that Virily bio at the end? I like it.
Hello Barbara, sorry I’m just getting back to you now. Do you mean, this bio at the end?
MY 2018 VIRILY BIO
Hello, I’m Andre’ Hartslief “I finally discovered, that man’s whole purpose in life, is not to do the right things in life or to be good, to be successful or famous. Our entire purpose in life is to express divinity unto everyone and everything. How we do that, is by transforming ourselves completely, from an old state of existence to a new state and if we start removing those limitations piece by piece, It is only, then, that the Creator of heaven and earth, who is God, the one who gave us all life, will begin to express himself, unbridled through us.
It is done this way, go to “Profile”, click on it, and click on “edit” A page opens up called, “Editing “About” Profile Group. Then scroll down to where it allows you to write your “story” and select seen by everyone. I hope this is what you were looking for. If not, send me a private message where I can elaborate. Regards Andre”
good advice, but for those of us who are bad at photography, lots of pictures means we might get the one we wanted!
True, out of hundreds of attempts, there must be a good one. ?
That could work too, but when you get to my age, 68, you’ll want to live a bit on the “wild side’ and try this trick.
Hopefully, you enjoy it, and the trick works!
Thank for sharing the advice on the art of taking photographs.
You are so very welcome! Hey, DPG, please see these posts of mine as collaborative works in progress. Thanks for commenting.
You are very welcome Andre.
I am yet to enter into a photography field and this tip is something that I will keep. The picture above is truly beautiful and full of mystery.
WOW! I love your comment about the mystery part. Seriously, that was it! I was mesmerized by the mystery of it too Sharon.
Great reminders, I am always taking photos.
Thank you, Carol, for your valued comment.
