Hi everyone.
This was the first time I tried to draw a dog properly in coloured pencils.
It’s a drawing of a Dachshund or a ‘Sausage Dog’ as we call them in England.
There of a few of them where I live in Holland too.
Jessie, our Cocker Spaniel is nine this year and when she’s gone we will not have another dog. However, if that was not the case then the choice would be a Dachshund because they are small and easy to maintain and also very cute.
I’ve always heard them called wiener dogs, but I don’t know if that is cos they are from Vienna or not…
The drawing is unique ….
The eyes are perfectly given emphasis. I also love drawing but given it up because I have other equally important things to give focus nowadays. But hopefully could do it again as a hobby.
I had a cocker that ran away at 14. This dachshund is perfect. You are very talented.
I would think drawing people would be so much harder.
You have a gift. I hope you use it often.
