Panorama: Kenosha Metra Station (2017-09-02 12-59-45 to 12-59-57a)

The Kenosha Metra Station is located at 5414 Thirteenth Avenue in Kenosha, Illinois (Kenosha County). It is the northernmost station on the Union Pacific/North line which transports commuters to the Olgilvie Transportation Center in Chicago’s Loop.

The station first opened in 1855 for the Chicago & Milwaukee Railroad. It was acquired by the Chicago & North Western in 1881 and remained with them until 1984 when the C&NW became part of Metra. The building was restored during the period 2004 through 2006. There is no ticket agent onsite and the waiting room functions as a dining area for fast food restaurants.

The photo was taken with a Nikon Coolpix P7700 camera with a Hoya circular polarizer. I used Affinity Photo 1.5 to stitch together four photos and crop it to the image portion. Then I used ACDSee Ultimate 10.4 to adjust the lighting, boost the contrast, vibrance and clarity, a dehaze a bit.
