I didn’t take the picture. I have no idea what kind of the bird is in the picture, and still “it felt well with my soul.”  It made me smile.  As I often do, I thought about a caption. In my little mind the bird is clearly listening to something. (The ants go marching one by one?)

This is one of those pictures that I will carry into classroom and leave it on the desk of a student and say “Hey, would you write a paragraph about this picture.” I love those kind of pictures and this one works for me.  I wonder what your paragraph would look like.

  1. Definitely a crow. I would mention the Aesop fable of the Crow and the pitcher. I would probably try to convince you that they are smart and I believe they recognize individual people. Stuff like that, I guess, is what my paragraph might look like.
