The photo was made in Fuerteventura. there are a lot of chipmunks everywhere. People are giving them food and looks like they do not afraid people at all.
Chipmunks are very fond of sunflowers and nuts, but they should be given only in limited amounts (otherwise the liver of the pet may suffer).
Our people love to keep them as pets at home. They are expensive here as must be transported from abroad. I was surprised the first time to see so many of them in the mountains and everywhere else. Such a cute animal.

I noticed only squirrels
We have squirrels but not chipmunks. They seem to resemble
pretty sure they’re on every continent but Antarctica
They are so cute, we don’t have them around here but many do.
