Had you experienced riding on small fishing boats? I was in my teens when I experienced riding on this small boat and it capsized in the middle of the sea , it was a horrible experience on a Sunny Sunday. We were lucky to be saved by a small fisherfolk who happened to be in the vicinity.
It’s good to know that you were able to survive. I’m not fond of going to beaches but there are events being conducted by the office which I need to join. So, yes, I already experienced riding in a small boat.
It’s alright to ride small boats if it’s near shores otherwise it’s scary.
Long time Waiting for your new post
Am still thinking of topics to write and must still look for photos.
I can hardly recall the exact number but we’re more than 10 I think.
One of my earliest memories was catching a large and small snapper on the same fishing line at 3 years of age in the middle of the Manukau Harbour. We had a small dingy with an outboard motor.
That could be an enjoyable experience for you as a kid.
Yes, it was but to be honest I don’t miss the smell of fish scales on the lawn
I am waiting for your new posts friend
Yes, my friend am still looking for interesting topics.
Long time Waiting for your new post
It has been many years since I have ridden on a fishing boat
How was your experience?
That was over 2 decades ago, but remembering it, it was not bad. I do not do bigger boats though because I get sea sick.
This is quite interesting, a great experience no doubt.
Indeed, and I decided I will not tell my parents about it but the news had already spread in the community because the fisherman who saved us told the story when he arrived at the market.
Glad you survived to tell us the story.
We are really very lucky not one got harmed.
Very good. God bless you always
Welcome Floral…. Don’t touch small boat in future
thank you, you are right small boats are not safe to use if you are crossing seas
Yes ofcourse it is a risk
yes and one must always use life jackets.
These fishing straws look like laundry dryers
Yeah, I was actually amused by their laundry dryers. Clothes dry faster.
Florel faces death but lives to tell the tale!
True a very scary experience until now still fresh on my mind
can you avoid boats in the future?
As much as possible I avoid small boats.
generally I advise folks to face their fears just for personal growth, but in your case, why not just avoid small boats?
Welcome, Florel. You were lucky not to drown.
Thanks for the comment, thanks be to God we were saved and nobody was hurt. Until now the phobia remains, I hope I can overcome.
I believe you have a phobia. Such events can not be erased from our head. I want you to get better as soon as possible.
You are lucky to have an experience that is rarely owned by other people.
Welcome aboard, Florel.
Thanks for the welcome greet. Yes it was an experience that I cannot forget, imagine we didn’t have life jackets then.
You’re most welcome, Florel.
Indeed, we must always be careful when dealing with the sea and rivers. I also have some experience of drowning in the river; like when swimming in childhood and being thrown from a rubber boat when rafting about ten years ago. I am thankful that I am still alive and have various experiences. Your experience will be a great story for your children and grandchildren later.
Especially when I would look at that area now, I cannot imagine how scary it was, There were not that big waves when that happened otherwise I do not want to imagine the rest.
How many passengers have been with you when the incident happened?
