Continuing with Kim’s June challenge about HAPPINESS. All of us can join in on this challenge, right? I know in my life each day I strive to find more happiness than the day before. Sometimes it works, other times not so much But I keep trying. That is all we can do is try. I am thankful for the blue sky, the birds singing and for my health. All of those things make me happy. So many are suffering, no home, no food, they cannot see the beauty around us, they cannot hear the birds. We all have many things to be thankful for. And I am thankful for Kim for creating these challenges so we can share our happiness. We never know, something we say can help the next person. Pass it on. Give a smile to the next person you meet. It may be the only one they get. When we help others, even if it is opening the door for them, we are doing it for them, not for us. Instead of expecting something in return, do things selflessly, with no expectations of anything in return.

It’s always a blessing reading your posts which are full of authenticity and beauty. You were made for this and who knows how much more.
You are the best Bradley, thank you for your continued encouragement. You know I am writing from my heart.
Wonderful and inspiring post! Such a pretty flower, very nice color
Thanks Courtney, Dustin’s roses.
Another wonderful and inspiring post, Carol! We should always be grateful.
Thanks Ellie, you are so right.
Thank you very much for the comment.
Being grateful and do things selflessly is an important lesson in life and a valuable fortune to guide our footsteps walking the path of happiness.
Indeed it is Albert. Good to see you. Hope all is well in your world.
I’m good, just still on a tight schedule and often until the early hours. I love to have a little time to visit you and friends in Virily.
I understand just taking sure you are ok. Take care.
We probably influence a lot of people without being cognizant of it. When I was a poor kid I rode the same school bus for almost 10 years, wearing hand-me downs from my brothers and clothes made out of feed sacks, but they were still freshly laundered, mended, starched, and ironed. There was another ragged kid, but she was unkempt and the other kids were very mean to her. I always thought there was a fine line between being her and being me and it frightened me into keeping a distance from her. So I never sought out her friendship, but I was polite, said hello and good bye and occasionally asked the other kids to lighten up. After about 5 years of this, she handed me an envelope as she got off the bus. In it she said she was moving away, but wanted to thank me for having been her only friend. I had no idea.
Wow that is a powerful story Ann, so true. We never know when we might be silently helping others.
Your article and some of the comments remind me of a part in Steven Spielberg’s movie, Schindler’s List where at the end of the film, Spielberg features an old Hebrew saying:”He who hath saved one life has as it were, saved the world entire.” In other words, if you can make a difference in just one person’s life, you have made a difference to the whole world. Thanks for sharing this post, Carol.
Wow, that is a huge compliment Andre. I remember that part of the movie well. Thank you so much for the visit and the comment.
thank you for sharing a few of your favorite things. I’m more of a schnitzel mit noodles kinda guy…
You are welcome. And I kind of already knew that about you. 🙂
Whereas I’d have pegged you more for the whiskers on kittens…
Well yea but I love all animals, dogs included.
Where do you stand on bright copper kettles?
As in… Vijay Seshadri’s poem?
Sometimes people can help people just by offering to take them to the store. It makes both parties feel good.
Yes it is all about those little things, right?
I am also grateful for my health, the birds, nature, all the material things that I am able to enjoy and my family, pets. Actually I am grateful for a lot of things.
Funny how it is a lot when you start thinking about it.
Anyone could be someone’s angel….. 🙂
Absolutely correct, thanks! 🙂
Actually true… some little things we do can really makes someone’s day… I guess we all experience it before…
Yes indeed, you should write about your epxeriences.
