Wander project Sledding in Greenwood IN

It got warmer yesterday so today I can share snow pictures again. It is really hard for me to share snow pictures when it is cold outside. My natural desire is to crawl towards the fireplace and bask in the warmth. I am posting warm pictures when it is really cold whenever I can. It is my new system, and we will try it out for a few days. When we lived in Greenwood, we had a small hill on the garage side of our house.

By small I mean the hill was roughly 8 feet. The kids loved tearing down the hill on sleds. At times they would even reach speeds of 2,3 mph. It was not a big hill. The pictures shared today were taken from the nice warm kitchen. I spent the morning outside shoveling, or snow blowing, the driveway. That was often a two-hour task. By the time I was done my wife would take the boys to the side hill and they would play for a time in the snow.

Early in their lives, we would probably not have taken them outside. They were both premature and often sick early on. We spent a lot of time at the Doctors office. Well by us in this case I meant my poor wife. I was often on the road or out of the country, so I was not available to go to the Doctor with the boys. That fell on my wife’s shoulders for the most part. Luckily she never complained about having to make yet another trip to the doctor!
