Thanks to the encouragement and inspiration of member Albert Herdianto Widjojo I have finally completed one of my many poems. After a tragedy in my life I always turn to writing and journaling. But it seems I never complete any of the poems. After reading so many posted here, especially those of Albert’s, he has encouraged me to complete one, and so here goes. It is not a poem that rhymes, these are my feelings, raw feelings. Also sharing sunset photos taken from my deck. This is how I feel when I witness a sunset…
Sunset draws me near
Each day I yearn for the beauty
And I am never disenchanted
Another presence is felt now
Could it be you… yes there you are
Sunset draws me near
What sentiments will transcend tomorrow
With an mind open I anxiously await
For the next sunset to complete my mind
Sunset draws me near
Memories, smiles, happiness, love
Thank you sunset for all you give
…for the hope
…for the joy
…for the peace
…for the honor to feel your arrival
Sunset draws me near
And I quietly anticipate your next presentation

You are so kind, and you were my inspiration. It feels good to write out
your emotions. Whether anyone else understands them or not, that is
not the point.
Exactly! Reveal, express all your thoughts and feelings, without the need to think too much about aesthetics or how far people will understand. Just do it! Again, I am glad, relieved and proud that you have done it!
