I had been driving from Gloucester to Fall River 2-3 times a week to hang out with Kathe Camara & little Jacob in the apartment Kathe stayed in above her grandmother. Kathe’s mom & dad hated me & persuaded Kathe’s grandmother to not let me stay over anymore. I invited Kathe to come and bring Jacob to Lanesville & stay at my apartment on Washington St. Kathe said she would prefer to find a place nearby to stay while we were sorting out the new turns in our relationship. I introduced her Donna O’Sullivan, local oral historian & her daughter Erin. Kathe made some contacts in the Cape Ann new age community including my former roommates Donna Marie & Errol, who introduced her to Deacon, a self-proclaimed Shaman.(I knew him as one of the “false prophets of EST”-followers of spiritual conman cult leader Werner Erhard). Deacon was instantly attracted to Kathe. I can’t blame him for that. Kathe said she was afraid of him.That didn’t last long.
