This photo dates from December, the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere. Even our cat, Catskydoodles, takes a moment to reflect on this shortest day of the year. Birch trees and sky are reflected in this puddle left by a heavy rain shower. But now the sun is shining, putting us all, even the cat, in a good mood 🙂
This is my entry for today’s Thursday Reflections challenge.
I love your cat’s name. Unique
Thank you, Maria Grace!
Great image. I like the name of the cat.
Thanks, Halcombe. My boys were responsible for naming her 🙂
That certainly is a beautiful cat. How old is the cat?
Thanks, Hanni. She’s four years old.
Such a cute cat and a lovely photo!
Thank you, Ellie. She really is very cute 🙂
ok i have to ask the quizmaster, Catskydoodles means?
Well there’s a question! My youngest pair of lads were responsible for naming her while I was away walking the Camino de Santiago in 2015. I’m fairly confident it was a play on ‘Yankee Doodle’. But that’s just her formal name. Her day-to-day name is Catsby, as in… The Great Gatsby 🙂
thank you, you’ve made me laugh today!!!!
Then my day has not be wasted 🙂
An adorable cat and he does look curious, I love his name.
Definitely a notable name, for which my children are responsible, Rasma 🙂
Your cat has a curious expression hoping perhaps it will find a fish in there (lol)
Aha, Grace, maybe that is exactly what she was thinking 🙂
What a beautiful cat Norman and love the name!
Thank you, Carol! It was Josh and his brother Sam came up with the name 🙂
