The petals are gently removed and washed. They are weighed and equal quantity of sugar is used. The petals are packed in a clean glass bottle layer by layer. Each layer of petals will have a layer of sugar.
The bottle is then kept in the sun for ten days Jame is ready for use.
It is kept in the refrigerator and the jam remains fresh for six months.

Rose petals jam is very popular here too. We are quite proud of our rose produce, haha.
I have only read abaout it. I have not tasted it so far. We do not have roses that can be used for making this.

I make the rose jam by boiling the petals in sugar syrup. I have to try this method! It looks great!
I think here the rose petals may not lose their original scent.
