As I said in a previous post, last weekend I made a trip to the village of my childhood. A lot has changed there. Even The stream of the Dog running through the back of my house has changed. The stream of the Dog were a clean running water, but now it looks like a pond full of cattail, among which the water can hardly be seen. In my childhood here was a beautiful valley with green grass. It was the place where all the children gathered to play. Now everything is full of shrubs and almost turned into a small forest. Everything has changed but the memories remain.

Even if things change, the memories remain unchanged, do you agree?

Nice photo, looks abandoned. but green…
I have photos of different streams I loved to walk by in Latvia. I do not know if they are still there but I know when I see the photos I can go there in my memories and see how it all was once.
Memories are our connection with the past.
This makes me wonder if we still have streams in the city. Our village used to be a waterway that they filled with soil so that water will not stay.
Here, this happened naturally.
I agree. Even near my home, a lot has changed. Many times I think of the kids having fun where the houses are today.
It is quite sad that now there are no more children in my village. The population is very old, young people prefer to live in the city
Yes,I agree that memories are still there and causes of happiness sometime.
Memories accompany us throughout our lives.
I do agree. And sometimes the memories can be remembered somewhat selectively making the memory even better than it was.
Yes! We tend to keep only pleasant memories.
Indeed, many places will change but our memories remain intact in our minds.
Changing is normal but in this place things have deteriorated and this saddens me.
