  10. The fun part in this quiz was the Sanskrit names and their Engish meanings. For example, “svan” means dog, so I could make out which answer it could possibly be. “Matsya” means fish, etc.

  12. Got seven right so I haven’t forgotten everything just yet. But it seems like I knew some of these asanas by different names. Also, we did the plow a little differently… With such a long history and so many students this is to be expected

    • Urdhva directly translates as upward. For example in Urdhva Dhanurasana, urdhva is upward and dhanurasana is bow pose. The same with urdhva mukha svanasana being upward facing dog pose. You’re right though, they’re both backbends 🙂
