Pictured above is Cerrena Unicolor. I will not be asking you about this mushroom. Don’t be afraid, I’m not going to be asking you the names, I know that’s very hard. As someone who knows them very well, I know this is not easy. I will be asking you if you know whether they are edible, inedible or partially edible. I will be listing the names myself.
Many times people who do not have enough skills at foraging, mistake some mushrooms for edibles and the consequences can be deadly. So when you’re going to forage, make sure to take someone with you who knows them very well. Never take a handbook with you and go alone, fungi can be very much alike to each other so it0s easy to mistake them.
I hope you’ll enjoy this quiz and that you know some of the answers. Some will be hard and some easy.

I am okay with a hike, so long as we don’t forage for mushrooms while we are out. We should probably avoid berries while we’re at it…

I found a pattern in the quiz and got all but the first one wrong. I wish I could hold all the knowledge of our fauna. I really do. I had always heard if it has a red or yellow color to stay clear, it’s good to see there are some edible ones. Love all the different mushrooms shown.
7/11 so I will survive 70% of my mushroom foraging! Actually I think I should have got only 6, because in #9 I wanted to tick ‘Edible’ and chose ‘Yes’ 🙂 Great quiz!
