Yet another hibiscus

Called hibiscus schizopetalus, it  is known by several other names such as Coral Hibiscus, Fringed Hibiscus, Skeleton Hiniscus, Chinese Lantern, Japanese Lantern, and Pagoda flower. Notice how the Japanese and Chinese have given them names almost giving the idea that they created them!! Never mind (lol)

As kids,  we called it hanging hibiscus.  Obviously the Internet has not recognised it.  Funny name.  You will agree.

Most gardens around me including ours has this flower and the mini bush just gets loaded with flowers.  The sad thing  with hibiscus is that they last only for a day.

They can be propagated by cuttings and are perennial in nature.  They need a bit of water and that’s it.  They are satissfied with just that and yes a bit of sun too.
