Daylilies are a common sight in my garden and in a variety of colors. I love day lilies even though the flowers only last one day. On the bright side, they have plenty of flowers to brighten each and every day for most of the summer.
Day lilies are also a great addition to the garden because they thrive in many different zones, are virtually pest and drought resistant and give the garden beautiful color to the end of summer. The botanical name for daylily is Hemerocallis which means beauty for a day.

Thanks for your kind comment, daylilies are indeed beautiful flowers
Beautiful lilies. We have the most in orange
Yes I also have lots of the orange ones
I post my yellow ones a lot and love each one that blooms.
I have an over abundance of the orange ones so any color that is not orange is special to me.
Wow, great picture and I had no idea what the botanic name meant. I know Carol posts hers a lot. I don’t have any, but really like them.
Thanks. I am a collector of sorts of different types of daylilies.
Great picture, dear friend
