Why was Freddie Mercury’s voice so special?

According to a recent study, Freddie Mercury is the best singer ever.

The voice of Freddie Mercury is considered by many as one of the best in the history of music. To prove it, a team of researchers, led by the Austrian Christian Herbst, decided to analyze the voice of the Queen’s vocalist in detail.

The team came to the conclusion that Freddie Mercury’s vocal cords moved faster than normal – according to the study, the singer’s vibrato reached 7.04 Hz, while the average ranging between 5.4 and 6.9 Hz. Scientists further discovered that the musician was a baritone (middle male voice, between bass and tenor). The cappella recordings further proved that Mercury had a “surprising fundamental modulating frequency,” which allowed the singer to easily switch between a more grave and a sharper record.

During the research, scientists have concluded that the musician’s voice had a “subharmonic vibration” which, combined with rapid and irregular vibrato, helped create the eccentric and flamboyant personality that Freddie Mercury wore on stage.

He still is one of my favorite singers and I want to watch the movie about his life “Bohemian Rhapsody”

  1. Freddy does have everything to be recognized as a great singer, but as a lover of rock music, I think there are many vocalists who have special voices.

Now, you must have watched the film, right? Many touching moments, I think. Just, Freddy there seemed rather small.
