God planted the first garden in Eden. We can only imagine how it looked. It had to have been better than even the best gardens planted since then. There must have been endless varieties of flowers in that garden. There are only hundreds in my neighborhood. Which flower varieties do you like best? I will ask you to choose between different kinds of flowers in the photos below, all of which I photographed in California. They are all my original photos, copyrighted, and may not be used elsewhere without my written permission. The top photo is of my neighbor’s garden in spring. Please let me know in the comments if you have a favorite flower I did not include.
Be sure and take my poll on favorite rose colors, too, if you haven’t done it yet.

I learned about how some flowers looked–Yarrow and Lantana.
Maybe they don’t grow where you live. There are many flowers that won’t grow in my climate.
So many beautiful flowers, it’s hard to pick! By the way, hopefully, I learnt some new flower names. 🙂
Thank you. I’m always learning new flower names. I also think the same flowers may have different names in different countries.
A great poll.Hard decisions to make.
Thank you. How do you decide which of two different kinds of beautiful flowers are more beautiful.
just like Barbara…
It is not easy to decide because all the flowers are beautiful; I live in Venezuela and, therefore, I do not know many of those flowers that are not cultivated here. Very good publication. I congratulate you, Barbara, for your garden and for the photos.
Thank you. I do love watching and photographing flowers as they grow and bloom.
Thank you. I agree it’s hard to decide.
What would you have done differently?
A great poll, I loved them all! Hard decisions to make.
Every time I try to choose a favorite, I give up.
I completely understand!
You chose beautiful flowers so I was thinking to whom to give priority. I’m just a rose.
Roses certainly are beautiful.
I enjoyed this poll. But how do we choose between all the beautiful flowers?
You should see all the flowers I didn’t have room for! I my have to do a part 2.
O nice. I will be on the look out for it.
Darn I wanted more to see lol. All great photos!!
I actually did try to put more questions on, but the site didn’t accept it. I thought maybe I’d hit a limit to the number of questions I could ask.
