What’s Killing a Site?

There are people who will provide some interesting answers. The truth is clear and evident. It is poor technology. When you don’t have a server that can handle the load and stay up you don’t have a viable site. People get a message that the site is down. They are disappointed if they are following a link that was going to give them information and they get a host error.

People who contribute to a site get frustrated when they cannot enter posts to be approved, see their work or contact anyone.

It’s not about patience it is about reliability. How many participants simply gave up because they couldn’t count on the reliability of the technology? Ignoring a problem and not responding has never solved a problem.

  1. The admins are doing something but they’re not communicating with us. A short announcement post would put many at ease. I also prefers that they notify the author of why their works are rejected like they did in the past.

They also need to be taking in good suggestions and advises.
